Dr. Chen is a graduate of Ohio State University, the University of Pittsburgh Otolaryngology Residency and the Otology/Neurotology Fellowship at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the subspecialty of neurotology. He is a Fellow of the American Acedemy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Chen has particular expertise in hearing restoration, cochlear implants, acoustic tumor and skull base surgery, as well as management of dizziness and chronic ear disease. He is a member of several professional organizations and served as secretary/treasurer for the Pittsburgh Otological Society. He has conducted research studies funded by Singer Research Grants and Roessler Fund. He has authored numerous articles on ear disease and disorders, treatment, and lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Chen is also on the list of Best Doctors in American.
